2 GREAT DOGS NEED A GREAT HOME

PLEASE HELP US! We ran away together, and now we need a new home. We love each other and can not be apart. We are very young, but we do have manners, and will show you lots of love and affection!

Hi everyone, thank you so much for taking the time to read this. Yesterday (Friday, October 2, 2009), around noon, these dogs showed up at my door. Apparently, they had been roaming my neighborhood since earlier that morning, but when they got to my house they did not want to leave. They were soaking wet from swimming in the lake behind my house, and just wanted some attention. I figured they lived in the neighborhood, and would just go home, but after 20 minutes of these two dogs hanging out on my front porch, I decided to take them for a walk. I brought them around my whole neighborhood, hoping they would pull toward their house, to no avail. I talked to every neighbor I saw, and no one recognized the dogs. So, I brought them back to my house, put them on my back porch, and hopped in my car. I drove around the neighborhood again, talking to more neighbors, with no luck. Then, I went around to the surrounding subdivisions, and talked to those neighbors, but still no luck. After a couple hours of this, I left for work. Chris got home a little later, and took the doggies in his truck over to Terramont, a neighborhood that backs up to ours, through the woods. While in Terramont, Chris learned that there were a few burglaries on a back cul-de-sac that day, so we were pretty sure (at that point) that's where the dogs came from. Last night, I made many large "Found Dog" posters, and this morning, I posted them all over this area. Unfortunately, NO ONE has called about them.

The black dog is a Labrador Retriever, and is about 10 months old. He is nearly full grown, and surprisingly docile for a Lab, although he is very playful when engaged. He is smart, and very sweet. He has not barked at all, but he makes a very quiet (almost polite) squeak, if he wants something.

The white dog is an American Bulldog, and is only about 4-5 months old. He is loves love! He is super-duper sweet, and delicately approaches you with a soft snuggle of his face. He enjoys being physically close to humans when the feeling is mutual, but is the only puppy I have ever seen that will just go lay down and chill for a while too.

Both of these dogs love each other, and will share the same food, water, and bed, willingly. They do everything together and share everything together, and for those reasons, they can not be separated. The younger one learns from the older one, and the older one is very patient with the younger one. There is a great benefit from having two dogs that are this close: they entertain each other! I have two dogs myself, which was a great decision. I would LOVE to keep these dogs, as I truly feel that they are the best strays anyone could ask for...unfortunately, I already have two large Labs, and I do not have any more room in my house for more dogs.

PLEASE consider adopting these wonderful pups. If you can not permanently take in the dogs, but are willing to possibly foster them until they find a good home, please let me know. I can not keep these dogs much longer, and it would absolutely break my heart to send such amazing dogs to the shelter. Please give them a chance :-)
